In  honor of Chanel‘s luxurious Cruise Collection, Male Model Humpday presents Karl Lagerfeld‘s boytoy cum muse Baptiste Giabiconi.

Born November 8,1989 in Marseilles, France, Baptiste was working at a helicopter plant with dreams of starting his own pizza delivery service. Four years later the only helicopter he sees probably took him to the French Riviera where he walked in Chanel Cruise 2012 wearing a turban and his usual Blue Steel-esque stare.

He’s currently the biggest male model on the planet thanks to backing from the Kaiser himself who considers Baptiste “a boy version of Gisele: skinny, skinny but with an athletic body — good for clothes and great with no clothes.”

And if that weren’t enough, according to his Models.com profile (where he’s currently ranked #1, naturally) when she met Baptiste in Moscow in 2009, Naomi Campbell told him, “It’s not right: We all have defects. You have none.”

But more than an obnoxiously pretty face, Baptiste is also an “actor” and burgeoning rock star. For proof of the former there’s Uncle Karl’s films for Magnum Ice Cream as well as The Tale of a Fairy, which debuted at Chanel’s resort show.

And for the latter, look no further than the epic video to his debut single, “Showtime,” literally the best video since…whatever video came directly before it:

Story by Lester Brathwaite

I was center square from 1969 to 1978, during which I perfected the art of the zing as well as a crippling cocaine addiction. Bea Arthur was responsible for both. @LesFabian lester at fashionindie.com
