- The New York Times seems to think that there are other places outside of Manhattan, let alone other places outside of Manhattan that need street style coverage. So starting today the Times has a new biweekly video series featuring street style from all five boroughs. Question: are we still considering Staten Island a borough? [WWD]

- Beloved children’s book author and illustrator Maurice Sendak, who wrote the seminal bed-wetter Where the Wild Things Are, died today from complications of a recent stroke. He was 83. [NYT]
