Masculinity as Defined by Fall 2012’s Ad Campaigns
While designers are showing men what they can expect for spring 2013 in Europe, their fall 2012 ads are breaking in magazines and billboards across the world. As we wrap up our month of Men’s, let’s take a look at the different ways masculinity is portrayed through some of the season’s campaigns. From traditional to hypersexual to androgynous, these ad men are cut from different cloths.
Abercrombie & Fitch
Famous for their controversial ads featuring chiseled, scantily-clad mounds of flesh, this season takes a different approach with a less muscular, less overtly sexual campaign – so far – with Jakob Bertelsen shot by Bruce Weber.
