We are not strangers to online retailer NastyGal. The site has been providing us with the latest shoes from Jeffrey Campbell and hot clothes from the likes of UNIF and MinkPink for the past six years, but it’s finally time for the clothing retailer to have a collection of their own. Here is the look book for NastyGal’s debut in-house line and it was shot by none other than Terry Richardson.
Creator of online retailer NastyGal, Sophia Amoruso initially gained a following by selling vintage clothes through eBay and then in 2006, she branched out to create her own website. Now six years later, the online retailer has expanded exponentially and has just released the look book for their debut in-house line.
Shot by famed photographer Terry Richardson, the 2012 fall line for NastyGal is named “Weird Science. The 26 piece line draws inspiration from early 90s and late 80s fashion. With lots of fringe, leather, and cut-outs it’s easy to see the retailer’s vintage past through their exclusive clothing.
Creator Sophia states that, “It’s trippy to me, because we are a purely digital entity, that we are manifesting clothes in the third dimension. We’ve been partying online with our customer for nearly six years now, and I’m super stoked to design a collection just for her.”.
Accompanied with the upcoming launch of their own magazine Super Nasty in September, this company is headed straight to the top of online retailing world with little in their way. With their own collection and magazine to drop soon, a physical boutique for the popular online store seems to us like the next step. And we can’t wait.
