Hello good southern Savannah! What a breeze of beautiful Spanish Moss you were to pass through! After coffee with Michael Fink, Dean of Fashion at SCAD [AKA the best American fashion school outside of NYC], which was after a night at a gay bar with Co-Pilot Tom at which we met Raja of Rupaul’s Drag Race(!), we found this gem of a boutique. Gaucho in downtown Savannah carries cool local designers, the brightest jewels and shades, and some looks that cater to living large. It’s a big country.
Take a look.
The dress is designed by local talent, Luna Luz. It’s produced smartly in NYC, with drawstrings in the undercarriage of the dress to allow for adjustability.
For a sheer burst of bright salmon, I added this sleeveless Rory Becca and left it open.
Designed in France for the large part of the population. Their silhouettes work with extra curvy curves, but their also good for the relatively thin when you want that oversized look.
The necklace is handmade by Amy Leiner and the black and pink bracelet is by the great Angela Caputi. The red ring comes from Gypsy while the black ring comes from Moneys. Pumped on flats in Gaucho, I embraced the pointed ballet cheetah by FSNY and tossed on the Melissa shades.
The multi printed cashmere pashmina got a hold of me too.
