Silk straddled sportswear as Max Azria explores soft angles again for BCBG Spring 2012. Fluttering layers gave way to dropped waistlines and native prints. Sheer jackets may break no wind, but the added layer takes this collection from ancient Grecian flapper cum Native American to the U.S. Open.
Color palette: Dusty lemon and lime over over bold red, cobalt and neutrals.
Mood: Sharp angles of soft silk and low slung hips set to Navajo prints, tennis pleats and sheer hoods, cut with a twenties vibe.
Statement Pieces: JLo-low cut, cut-out shouldered floor touching dress, with a near hem sheer inset and a native american, quasi-Missoni print.
Front Row Name Drops: Primetime took prime seating: Sophia Bush of One Tree Hill, Elisha Cuthbert of 24.
Gossip: @SophiaBush proclaims “my favorite collection of theirs for years!! Stunning.” http://say.ly/SHIGml
Runway Music: Beat boxing scat/pop up techno.
