Rocking the Shoulder-Length, Krysten Ritter
Jul 14, 2013 - by Nick Arrojo
She may be the B in Apartment 23 but, trust us, Krysten Ritter wears a great every day hairstyle for a girl on the go. By placing emphasis on the light, choppy bangs –– and on an expanded, loose and textured shape down the sides –– a simple shoulder-length layer cut gives graphic emphasis to the outline of the features of the face. Fun and easy to wear, the versatility of the style means you can polish it up for more urbane times, or keep it messy and whimsical when you want a rugged look.
Step: The versatility of the cut makes it great for styling at home.
Step: For smoothness and polish, use volume foam on the roots and defrizz on the ends. Apply both to damp, towel-dried hair. Now blowdry with a flat brush, roots to ends. Finish with shine spray for extra sheen.
Step: To mix it up with texture, expanded shape, and a few romantic ringlets, exchange defrizz serum for curl enhancer and rough blowdry with hands –– toss hair from side to side, lift it off the root, create texture, add body. Pulse in refinish dry shampoo and scrunch the style as you do –– this will encourage a bigger shape. Now curl a few pieces with one or two inch curling iron. Curl so as to create the perfect frame for your face.
