There are three places when being a C.U.N.T. is a good thing: the boardroom, the bedroom and, of course, the ballroom. The ball, the birthplace of voguing, is also the fierce intersection where fashion, music, gay culture and African American culture fabulously meet. Black queens take to the dancefloor where they walk, WALK and deathdrop for prestige. This Friday, put a smile on your face and some bass in your walk with this gag-worthy voguing video.  As Jay R. Neutron’s remix of Rihanna‘s criminally infectious mega-hit, “We Found Love in a C.U.N.T.Y. Place,” thumping in the background, these children — and by the children I mean the queens who dare to walk Paris’ ball…as well as some actual little kids – show the true meaning of charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.

I was center square from 1969 to 1978, during which I perfected the art of the zing as well as a crippling cocaine addiction. Bea Arthur was responsible for both. @LesFabian lester dot brathwaite at gmail
