Rachel Zoe Talks to FashionIndie About her Spring Line

The energy was running high backstage at Rachel Zoe Spring 2013, and with good reason – this was the first ever New York Fashion Week runway show for the stylist-cum-designer. “It’s more Jane Birkin and Charlotte Rampling, it’s a little bit more androgynous and cool with less overt glamour,” Zoe said of the collection.

We all know Zoe has styled some of the biggest celebrities and worked with the industry’s most significant designers, a history that sets her up for success when creating her own collection. “I would imagine everything I’ve done in my career has helped me prepare for this,” Zoe said when I asked how her experience in the industry has influenced her as a designer. “Every time I go to a show or style a shoot, I’m learning. So I think that’s what made me get better as a stylist and for sure as a designer.”

And we think she did a fabulous job for Spring 2013. It’s for the sophisticated cool girl with a flair for luxury – are you on board? Check out the gallery below.
