The 83rd Annual Academy Awards took place last night in Los Angeles, and the biggest stars in Hollywood showed us their best and worst looks. Let’s take a look at the top three best dressed starlets in the Red Carpet Report Card.

RED CARPET REPORT CARD: Best of the Oscars

Cate Blanchett has my vote for best dressed at last night’s Oscars in Givenchy Spring 2011 Couture. Her absolutely stunning look was as close to perfection as one can get.

Mark Ruffalo‘s wife and fabulous lady Sunrise Coigney turned it out on the red carpet in Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2010 Couture and looked more avant-garde than anyone else at the Oscars.

Merely one month after giving birth, Penelope Cruz arrived to the Oscars wearing this fiery red gown from the L’Wren Scott Spring 2011 collection. Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz also have my vote for hottest couple.

Did you notice the top three women on my best-dressed list weren’t even nominated for Oscars? Way to steal the spotlight ladies, you deserve the recognition!
