If you have ever have been to the bathroom at The Standard Hotel Highline, you’re familiar with the gorgeous view from the toilet, but little do you know that the view works two ways.
It’s common knowledge to bathroom goers at Le Bain and The Boom Boom Room that the bathroom has an amazing view. But it would make sense to think that street goers walking outside have an equal, but more disturbing, view.
Tourists often gather at the corner of Washington and W. 14th streets to get a glimpse of The Standard Hotel Highline party-goers relieving themselves. With no warning to the customers of the stalls with the public view, it’s easy to be unaware of the show of the show that you’re unintentionally putting on.
Wish we would haven known that during the Jeremy Scott after party featuring A$AP Rocky, it may have lead us to making a different decision as to where to party. But in the end, all you can hope is that no one recognizes you from the peep show bathroom. And if they do you know what they say, everyone has their fifteen minutes of fame.
