Edited by

We joined fashion denizen Simon Doonan and Belstaff Chief Creative Officer Martin Cooper yesterday morning to witness the reinvigoration of the House of Belstaff.  What was once only available in England in the 1950′s and 60′s (aka the golden era of the motocross lifestyle) is now available in a refined, super luxe collection sold at Barney’s New York.

Going Gay for Milan’s Mens Motorcycle Jackets

Edited by

We going gay for Milan’s moto jackets because they’ve almost gone the full rainbow spectrum on the runways of Pitti Uomo! So far it’s we’ve hit the ROY G, but no BIV yet. (Though actually, in Italy, the rainbow flag means Peace… so motorcycle jackets are peaceful…?) Trends of Fashion Week

Edited by

Many trends emerged during this years s/s fashion week. From platform shoes, to skirt shorts and bright orange macs, with only the weather in the fashion pack’s way.

Trends on the catwalk

Trends of Fashion Week

Marni: shorts that looked like skirts, and billowing voluminous shirts.

Trends of Fashion Week

Fendi: the biggest story so far – shoes with wedges, for men. Not content with the Cuban heel, Silvia Fendi wanted to add something feminine to the boys’ shoes. Voila la platform wedge.

Trends of Fashion Week

Calvin Klein: one word neon. Bright, bold, and requiring sunglasses

Ermenegildo Zegna: classic tailoring in classic neutral summer shades – oh and two pink suits.

Trends of Fashion Week

Belstaff: Lots of shiny patent macs and plenty of colour to end Milan men’s fashion week.

Trends off the catwalk

THE GOOD

Bow ties – and not a dinner jacket in sight. A little ridiculous but harmless. This is men’s fashion week, let them have their fun.

THE BAD

Orange espadrilles – keep them to the beach love.

THE UGLY

Is a Versace Lamborghini too much? Possibly, but it might just have been the best looking fashion accessory of the week.

People

Armani pulled the big shots in again – this time for his mainline collection, Giorgio Armani. Clive Owen and Adrien Brody graced the front row. Full marks for the biggest A list attendees.
