It Look: Sarah Jessica Parker In Halston Heritage

Styled by The Fashion Web

SOURCE:It Look: Sarah Jessica Parker In Halston Heritage

Sarah Jessica Parker is famous for her role in the luxe and fashionable Sex and the City,
although her fashion sense doesn’t stop there. Known to have great
style, she’s been spotted in a chic and trendy outfit while out and
about as she combines gold and black to create an alluring combo for
this fall.

First you must find the right shirt, like her very own: the gold-hot Halston Heritage Lamé Jersey Pleated Long Sleeve Blouse.
This top has great versatility as well – you can wear it out to the
clubs, to a nice dinner date, or for a refined and casual look, with
some flattering dark-wash jeans! Of course Sarah Jessica Parker looks
club ready with the addition of the Halston Heritage Faux Leather Leggings,
which flow with the top and elongate your figure while offsetting the
extravagance of the top. But the outfit is never complete without some
trendy accessories.

Some more summer to fall transition dressing for you! Today’s focus is a pair of cuffed army shorts, which are only $99 at Buy Definition.

Right now army shorts are a great base for a casual cool look – something you would wear to an outdoor concert or BBQ. Pair with a tribal looking tee, a denim vest and a leather backpack for the ultimate festival chic style!

Once it starts dropping below 70 degrees, throw on some warm socks and some work boots! Top it off with a slouchy sweater and a versatile leather jacket for a tough downtown look and you’ll be good to go!

Burberry greatcoat for the new season

Styled by The Fashion Web

Posted in Fashion » Fashion Blog » Clothing » Coats & Jackets

Some collections are so good that they make an impact on the fashion psyche the moment they hit the catwalk. Or perhaps their designers just have their finger so firmly placed on the pulse that their collections are perfectly in tune with society’s shifts. I’d wager that both of those are true of Burberry‘s Autumn / Fall 2010 collection and it’s interpretation of the evolved men’s military fashion trend. The collection is perfect for the trend, as it’s GQ Japan‘s interpretation of both.

Mary-Kate Olsen Happy to be a Designer

Styled by The Fashion Web

Mary-Kate Olsen, who along with twin sister Ashley became famous after appearing on the television show “Full House” recently told Marie Claire that she wouldn’t want anyone to have to go through what she did as a child.

However, the 24-year-old maker of fashion trends says she has no regrets and “wouldn’t take it back for the world.” Though she still reads scripts and acts, Mary-Kate considers herself a fashion designer today, after having founded several clothing lines with Ashley.

As fashion designers, the two started the upscale lines The Row and Elizabeth and James, as well as the more affordable Olsenboye collection that is sold at JCPenney. Mary-Kate’s celebrity fashion style is original and slightly bohemian – you won’t find her dressing like everyone else in Hollywood. “This is my day job,” she tells Marie Claire. “The Row is where I go every day.”

I am beyond obsessed with the simplicity of this Lanvin T-shirt

Styled by The Fashion Web
I am beyond obsessed with the simplicity of this Lanvin T-shirt dress. Alber Elbaz kills it every time. I swear he is an alien. The Balmain aviators are bad ass too. Simple yet totally effective. I have a feeling they are about to get reaaaally played out everywhere but for now I have a big crush. As for everything else, I would like to load a bunch of gold accessories with the white dress and go with my staple le vernis Chanel nail colour. Easy and clean. Now on to our handbag and shoe. I am loooooooving Marni’s new muted pink handbag that just popped out. $1400.. I might need it. :-/ And then Miu is killing 60′s mod this season as we are all aware of and these shoes are beyond darling and innocent looking.. but then the sky high heel gives it that modern day edge. I’m definitely into it. Miu Miu is front runner for me this season second to Balenciaga. Without a doubt. Well, I’m off to bed early with the beau and the kittens. Hope you are all having a great Saturday!

THE TEN: Fashion Trends We Hope Remain In The Grave

Styled by Hillary Frazier

Everyone knows trends find a way of phasing themselves back in (we’ve been going through a severe 90s grunge comeback for awhile now), but there’s a few trends that we hope never make it back to life (although some of them are trying desperately, or maybe already have):

1. Thong leotards over biker shorts- Wasn’t a good look when Kelly Kapowski from Saved By The Bell did it, and isn’t even a good look for 80s parties.

2. Shutter shades- I know once Kanye was spotted in these everyone went crazy over them, but in my opinion, shutter shades were never okay, and will never, ever be okay. They serve no purpose besides making you look like a douche.

3. Visors- I have a feeling that sooner or later, hipsters are going to think that grandma visors are ‘ironic.’ I’ll just put it out there now to save everyone the $5: they aren’t ironic, they’re ugly.

4. Mesh- so not okay. Small mesh (like the Brian Lichtenberg or American Apparel dress) = good. Big mesh = this guy.

5. Crocheted tank tops or bath suit tops as shirts- Just plain ugly.

6. Tying up dress shirts (a la ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’)- This was cool for like, a day, but trying to be ‘sexy’ while being fifteen and in catholic school is not happening.

7. One size fits all shirts- I really don’t know who thought this was a good idea. These are the ugliest shirts I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

8. Guys in flared jeans/pants- I know this actually happens. I’ve been a witness to many guys still wearing flared jeans, most of the time girls’ jeans, but occasionally True Religion will make a pair of flares.  Note to all guys: if you’re going to wear girls jeans, at least get ones that look like they could belong to a guy. And also, this is not the 70s.

9. Dark lip liner- Beyond trashy. Seriously, what the hell

10. Scrunchies- I really, really, REALLY hope this isn’t happening.

To all of the trend setters of the world, please do us a favor and stay away from reviving these, or prepare for a permanent spot in Street Zeroes.
