Remember back when editrix in chief Anna Wintour hosted that Barack Obama fundraiser at Sarah Jessica Parker’s house and sold tickets for 40 grand a pop? Well the queen of multi-tasking has decided to throw a couple more while she is abroad during London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. The kicker is they’re still too expensive for us to go.

Does it really matter, because chances are you weren’t invited to the intimate dinner thrown by Anna Wintour and Harvey Weinstein as a fundraiser for the Obama campaign. But if you’re one of the lucky holding a summons and spare $71,600, you’ll be in the fine company of big guns like Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, Tory Burch and Alicia Keys. According to Page Six, the dinner is tentatively scheduled for next week, so start kissing ass now.

Fashion Fights Poverty Runway Show

Tonight actress Parker Posey and local news anchor Will Thomas team up to host the Fashion Fights Poverty. The annual fashion show is the FFP’s biggest effort, and Washington D.C.’s largest fashion fundraiser. A creation of the Style & Image Network, FFP raises “awareness on how fashion, textiles, and artisanship can alleviate poverty and empower communities.” The runway show spotlights international designers dedicated to ethical design and manufacturing (“fair trade, equitable compensation, and the use of environmentally-sustainable materials”), and educates consumers on responsible shopping.

The proceeds from tonight’s ticket sales and silent auction benefit Nest programs, devoted to helping women in developing countries.
