We’ve already decided drugs were involved with the creation of many Spring 2012 collections shown at Milan Fashion Week. Now we’re noticing a serious lack of sexy from our favorite Italian labels. There’s a lot of man-repelling happening, and it’s a tad shocking. But there were some sexy standout garments – seven to be exact – from Milan that get our motors running.

- Jones Group is reportedly one of the propsective buyers of Jimmy Choo, after the namesake designer and LVMH have dropped out of the running. Jones Group already owns Nine West and recently bought Stuart Weitzman, but if they want to build an unstoppable shoe empire with the acquisition of Choo, they’ll have to plunge a stiletto into the hearts of fellow bidders — German luxury company Labelux (which owns Bally) and US firm TPG. I have been observing the evolution of Haider Ackermann for several seasons, as he is one of my favorite new designers when it comes to womens’ clothing. In my humble opinion, his last two seasons in Paris outclassed all of the other Designers’ Women Collections by a long shot.

The fashion Industry was in uproar last week after John Galliano was dismissed as Creative Director from Christian Dior following numerous anti-Semitic allegations made against the designer. Galliano has denied all allegations made against him and claimed that he is of partial Jewish ancestry, although this has not been verified. The dismissal on 1st March came immediately following the release of a video clip of the designer, who was unquestionably inebriated, stating, “I love Hitler”.
