Edited by

Multi-talented multi-hyphenate Karl Lagerfeld recruited a cadre of supermodels, threw them in the latest and hautest couture and invited some light tubes along for the ride for the latest issue of Numéro. One  minute you’re woman-handling two hyenas in  Givenchy Haute Couture, the next you’re in a snakeskin-print jumper because your mom paid for voice/dance/tranny heel lessons 40 years ago.

Riccardo Romances with Givenchy’s Fall 2011 Haute Couture Collection

Edited by

Riccardo Tisci is a genius. There, I said it. What he’s doing at Givenchy is truly the future of haute couture: implicitly sexy, exquisitely detailed and deceptively simple. There are no opulent presentations with ornate sets because the main and only attraction of a Givenchy Haute Couture show is the clothes. And for Fall 2011, Tisci presented ten gorgeous gowns that only further cements his place as my favorite designer in my heart and mind.
