Models have been appearing in music videos nearly as long as the form has been alive, lest we forget Calvin Klein brief-fillers  Djimon Hounsou and Antonio Sabato, Jr. in Janet Jackson‘s “Love Will Never Do (Without You),” also directed by Ritts. Say what you will about Madonna — god knows I do — but lady can make a video. For “Girl Gone Wild,” Madge recruited FashionIndie faves Sean O’Pry, Simon Nessman, Jon Kortajarena and Rob Evans, stripped them down, had them fondle each other and — do my eyes deceive me or are those the well-heeled (and well-toned) boys of Ukrainian pop/dance troupe Kazaky bringing up Madonna’s ancient rear? With a nod to “Vogue,” “Express Yourself” and even a little “Like a Prayer,” “Girl Gone Wild” puts on one hell of a gay show and proves that Madonna imitates Madonna much better than Lady Gaga ever could.
