After reports surfaced that Chinese and Japanese Vogue broke their Health Initiative with the use of two models who were under the age of 16, the magazine has stated that they are severely clamping down on the use of underage models at their publication. We’re not convinced yet.
Though Carine Roitfeld has no intentions for her upcoming magazine, CR Fashion Book, to compete with the Vogues of the world, Condé Nast apparently still holds a grudge against the former Vogue Paris editrix.
Voguetron assembles once again as Vogue‘s 19 international editors — including the fab foursome of Anna Wintour, Alexandra Shulman, Emmanuelle Alt and Franca Sozzani — have signed on to The Health Initiative. A pact to promote healthier and more positive body image, The Health Initiative will be featured globally in the June issues of Vogue.

As any follower of fashion knows, those four cities are the main fashion capitals of the world and in that order their fashion weeks have progressed for what seems like time immemorial. Well, New York’s moving their fashion week to Sept. 13th to avoid conflicting with Labor Day, but that leaves Milan in a time crunch. And the Italians are not standing for it.
