16 British Fashion Designers & Contemporary Artists Collaborate

A tight pack of British fashion designers and contemporary artists have paired off at the British Fashion Council’s discretion, to create eight installations for the London 2012 Festival. Backed by the BFC and Bazaar Fashion Arts Foundation, the event is set to raise funds for art and design scholarships. There are 16 creative minds already at work on the projects: Giles Deacon and Jeremy Deller, Hussein Chalayan and Gavin Turk, Jonathan Saunders and Jess Flood-Paddock, Mary Katrantzou and Mark Titchner, Matthew Williamson and Mat Collishaw, Nicholas Kirkwood and Simon Periton, Paul Smith and Charming Baker, Peter Pilotto and Francis Upritchard, and Stephen Jones and Cerith Wyn Evans. - Anna Wintour may finally, much like the rest of the world, be over Sienna Miller. Thanks to some car trouble, Sienna was a half an hour late to buddy Matthew Williamson’s fashion show. The designer foolishly kindly held the show for her, much to the chagrin of the Bobbed One who was seconds away from storming out and burning down the designer’s entire spring line. [Metro UK]
