This year manicures have been getting a major upgrade. From caviar nails to metallic nails, you might as well kiss your basic french manicure goodbye. Wacky nails have also been making an appearance in New York Fashion Week runway shows. Diego Binetti tops the list with his oyster holding a pearl-esque manicures, but he’s not the only one. We’ve been seeing a lot of red pouts for Spring 2013 New York Fashion Week. Everyone from Carlos Miele to Jason Wu had their models strutting down the runway with ultra bold lips. Vivid yellow dresses are the first thing we noticed when we walked into David Tlale’s Spring 2013 presentation at The Box. Tribalesque beats and a strong base filled the room as the turban clad models posed with fierce eyes. The collection was inspired by South African culture, and that was shown through the stunning floral tunics.
Emerson’s Spring/Summer 2013 runway show was inspired by 1970′s and current horror films, as her collection had a “70′s meets modern times” feel. Platform clad models glided down the isle in peplum blazers and dresses in vampiric shades. Here’s our front row preview of the romantically edgy collection.
