The teaser for Anna Dello Russo’s campaign/home-made music video for her H&M campaign is just as strange as the editor’s personal style. Peep the teaser after the jump.
Hakaan Yildirim is steadily finding his footing as he climbs into place as an acclaimed international fashion designer. While it helps to have Mert Alas (as in famed photog duo Mert & Marcus) as the Creative Director of Hakaan, his sexy aesthetic has taken on powerful textures, in more masculine silhouettes that still prove largely alluring. His Turkish background, however, lays behind him; he’s more inspired by London’s vibes, where he lives, works and always dreamed he’d be stirring up the fashion scope.
One of our favorite editorial actresses, Keira Knightley makes a triumphant return in the April issue of Interview, shot by the always dynamic duo of Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Stylist Karl Templer adorns the British beauty in Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Céline, Givenchy, Salvatore Ferragamo, Diane von Furstenberg, Chanel and Valentino as she smokes and smolders in the sultry spread. There’s a bit of good old-fashioned 80s androgyny meets Helmut Newton’s stark sexiness happening that fits Keira’s lithe bone structure perfectly. Full spread after the jump, kids.
The Daily Gasp has been rather irregular as of late but, to be honest, there hasn’t been that much to gasp at — I’m looking at you Marc Jacobs. Enter Adele. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott photographed the Grammy darling for a stunning editorial in Vogue and Ms. Adkins is giving serious face throughout. Gallery after the jump!
Clad in a clingy Calvin Klein, Lara Stone looked every inch the supermodel as I sat down — flustered and fresh off the subway — to interview her and photographer Alex Prager about their collaboration with Mercedes-Benz. During our little chat in the swanky Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge, I tried to explain the concept of a spirit animal — I muttered something about Native American mythology as the concept isn’t particularly clear to me either — but I feared that it would be lost somewhere in translation. After a few more explanations, we finally got around to the heart of the question – ”Who is your celebrity spirit animal?” As soon as she said the name, I realized the answer was fairly clear.
As expected, Calvin Klein trots out Lara Stone once again for its spring 2012 Jeans campaign. And as expected, Lara trots out her impressive rack, going topless alongside newcomer Matthew Terry in the steamy ads shot in St. Barts by leading lensmen Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Meanwhile, Terry also stripped down with fellow professional hunks Myles Crosby, Arran Sly and Chris Garavaglia for Calvin Klein Underwear with the legendary Steven Klein capturing the copious flesh on display in Joshua Tree. If all the six packs don’t strike your fancy, the brilliant hues surely will.
