How To Master the Dry DIY Manicure

Edited by

You, my dear, are never one to color inside the lines. Nor should you ever be. But when it comes to self-manicuring, painting within proper bounds is kind of important. Enter Incoco. It’s the newest way to apply nail color; the classiest press-on we’ve ever encountered. It’s three layers in one: base, color and top coats, and it lasts for weeks without a chip.  They’ve removed harsh chemicals that typically comprise nail laquer, to leave you with an eco-friendly, zero dry-time manicure. See how it’s done here:

5 Nail Trends to Make You Sparkle

Edited by

The words boring and French rarely cross my lips, but when it comes to nails, we’re so over the subtle French mani (like, years ago). Nude hues are done and even the solid brights aren’t cutting it. We need more. We need sparkle. We need pizzazz! Enter the world of wild nails. You may remember them from middle school, but now they’re classy. Just like Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.

BEAUTY: Katy Perry Keeps It Traditional

Though the singer is notorious for having some wild outfit and beauty choices, on her wedding day she’s trying to stay pretty traditional. When asked about her wedding manicure Katy replied, “I think for my wedding I’ll do what is called ‘wedding nails,’ where it’s traditional and pretty. I don’t know if I’d want, like, Oompa Loompas on my nails while taking my pictures.” I think that’s a pretty good idea too.

The Inspirations Of StrangeBeautiful

The Inspirations Of StrangeBeautiful

I’m all for wild ideas and unique inspiration, but StrangeBeautiful’s founder Jane Schub has taken it to a whole new level. The new line, Color Volume 3, consists of eight polishes that really let us in on how “To Be Strange is to be Beautiful”. Inspirations include “the saturated rusty iron color of an Irish bog, veins of green mold running through Roquefort, the dreadfully wonderful dirty almond color used on kitchen appliances, the belly of a pigeon, the artist Sean Scully, aged armagnac, the rich black olive green color of Loden cloth, and the dull brown red of Redrope files.”

Whatever works I guess. Right?
