Doutzen Kroes Without Photoshop Still Doesn’t Need Photoshop

The misuse of photoshop can often turn into a brutal massacre of missing limbs, joints, and superimposing front covers. But can you ever imagine the point to photoshopping a model who simply doesn’t need it? This is the case with Victoria’s Secret model Doutzen Kroes and some unreleased, uncharacteristically un-photoshopped images of the supermodel. And she still looks perfect.

Seventeen Pledges Against Photoshop and Teen Vogue is the Next Target

American teen mags Seventeen and Teen Vogue have recently been under fire for the use of photoshop and its affects on their reader’s self-image. As the result of 14 year old Julia Bluhm’s SPARK summit, the entire Seventeen staff has signed an eight-point Body Peace Treaty. Their next target is Teen Vogue and the teens plan on staging another protest outside their offices today in Times Square

The Photoshop Is Closed: New Tool Measures Amount of Airbrushing

Photoshop can work wonders. Miracles really. How else can you explain Kristen Stewart appearing almost human and nearly interesting  in W‘s September issue? But as much as it can be used for good, Photoshop is more often used for evil; subtly — and sometimes blatantly — erasing the imperfections of models and celebrities. Now that a computer science professor at Dartmouth has introduced a new software tool to distinguish, on a scale from 1-5, how much a photo has been altered — your tax dollars hard at work — is this the end of Photoshop fakery?

Sasha Beyonce Fierce graces the November cover of Harper’s Bazaar and she. is. werqing. it. (Thanks to our fave Terry Richardson, of course).  With hair bigger than her baby bump will ever be, she dishes about her pregnancy, motherhood, marriage, her hip hop hubbie king Jay-Z, and more.
