Tits on the Runway

Edited by

Vogues Paris and Italia have been no strangers to them, historically. American Vogue avoids them completely. Purple Mag masterfully exploits them. And New York Fashion Week is busting at the seams with them. We’re talking about boobs. Once relegated to the awkward nip slip, now the tits forward march dominates catwalk, and we love the sheer audacity. These are looks that may remind your man how sexy you can look in that see-thru floor length Yigal Azrouël, if only he buys it for you. Share your desire to replicate these runway looks at home alone with him, then layer into them when you step out in the big bad sadly non-nudist world. Because while you can’t see tits on the radio, you can see them on the runway. Happy Valentine’s Day.

How To Dress for a Fashion PR Internship

Edited by

Congratulations, you just scored your first public relations internship in New York City. Even though it’s unpaid, you’re going to work long shitty hours and be the coffee bitch for three months, you’ve really accomplished a lot by snagging your new, interly position. The big question inevitably on your mind is “what do I wear on my first day?” The key to dressing well for a fashion PR internship, really, is simple: Don’t stand out in an outrageous way, and let your professionalism and overall chicness leave those other interns hacking in the dust. We’ve put together an outfit with all the components bound to make a sterling impression on your first day. Look, read and learn.

Office to Nightclub in 5 Minutes Flat

Edited by

The trick to most things in life involves layering. It allows you to transform your look from day to night, leaving you in almost an entirely different outfit. These two outfits side by side are the same look. Minus the blazer of course. I’ll explain what’s underneath, and why it’s okay to hide your swank from your co-workers under an oversized sport jacket.

RUNWAY: Preen Fall 2010 Womenswear

Edited by

RUNWAY: Preen Fall 2010 Womenswear Preen has reigned among my favorite labels for two years now, and with a solid Fall 2010 collection, I don’t foresee it slipping anytime soon. Designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi brought us an array of memorable pieces. Cocoon coats, cutout dresses, hard edge skirt-suits and floral print silks were among the collection’s successes. It’s the perfect mix of feminine and masculine, introducing a whole new androgynous flavor to the fashion scene.

Teens Hack PR Database For Fashion Week Invites!

Teens Hack PR Database For Fashion Week Invites!

According to Gawker, two Vermont teenagers might have hacked into PR company BPCM’s database, entering their names into Fashion Week invite lists. Becca Shumlin and Remy Renzullo allegedly hacked into the database, adding their names to some of the hardest shows to get into at Fashion Week, Alexander Wang and Preen, just to name a few. The hacking was discovered when the two requested invites to Alexandre Herchcovitch’s show and publicists discovered the unknown names on several lists.

And if the punishment for hacking wasn’t bad enough, Ms. Shumlin could potentially ruin her father’s career. Yes, Shumlin’s dad happens to be the Vermont State Senate president.

Mmm, I love the taste of controversy on a Wednesday afternoon.

RUNWAY RUNDOWN: Preen Spring 2010

RUNWAY RUNDOWN: Preen Spring 2010

If one were to generalize the Preen Spring 2010 collection, the words “ready-to-wear lingerie” would undoubtedly be used. A patchwork of bondage-like laces and ruffles made for some gorgeous mini dresses while high-waisted pants and big-shouldered blouses insinuated a sexy business professional vibe. Designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi rarely cease to amaze me with their uncanny use of texture and immaculate detail. Another Preen collection to drool over!
