Video Bros

Edited by

Christie Brinkley was Billy Joel‘s “Uptown Girl.” Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington helped George Michael declare his “Freedom.” And Helena Christensen played Chris Isaak‘s “Wicked Game,” as directed by the legendary Herb Ritts. Models have been appearing in music videos nearly as long as the form has been alive, lest we forget Calvin Klein brief-fillers  Djimon Hounsou and Antonio Sabato, Jr. in Janet Jackson‘s “Love Will Never Do (Without You),” also directed by Ritts. Madonna Goes Wild with Top Male Models in Latest Video

Edited by

Say what you will about Madonna — god knows I do — but lady can make a video. For “Girl Gone Wild,” Madge recruited FashionIndie faves Sean O’Pry, Simon Nessman, Jon Kortajarena and Rob Evans, stripped them down, had them fondle each other and — do my eyes deceive me or are those the well-heeled (and well-toned) boys of Ukrainian pop/dance troupe Kazaky bringing up Madonna’s ancient rear? As a wise woman once said, “Show me the receipts.” [Refinery29]

Viktor & Rolf’s Spicebomb to Explode All Over the Market

Edited by

For their new men’s fragrance, the design duo of Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren – other wise known as Viktor & Rolf — decided to spice things up a bit. “We felt that if flowers were a very typical feminine scent, spices were the masculine opposite,” Snoeren told WWD, referring to their hit women’s scent Flowerbomb. And thus they begat Spicebomb .

Edited by

Whereas the girls may earn the big bucks, these ten male models continue to work relatively hard for the money. Their faces and bodies have been everywhere and on everything/one this year, now here they are in handy enumerated order based on a complex mathematical permutation taking into account a host of factors. Either that or I just guessed. Whichever floats your boat. Happy Humpday!

Behind the Scenes: A Look at the ‘Making-of’s’ of Fashion

Edited by

So it’s a slow news morning. But in the spirit of the show going on — and in the spirit of me fulfilling my daily posting duties — I’ve rounded up five behind the scenes videos of photosoots, ad campaigns and commercials. Sure, we always see the finished product, but sometimes what goes on when the camera stops clicking away is even more interesting…
