M.I.A. Found! There’s a gal out in Brooklyn who’s twisting up some fat ones in her studio. Yarns. She’s twisting Scandinavian merino wool into these thick yarns and naturally dyeing them into these brilliant brights. Who’s the spinster that’s making it in America?

This Hat Wants to Cuddle

Mischa Lambert is hand-knitting up a storm and dyeing hats that stores all over the world are dying over. Like Barneys, and the eco-friendly Kaight Shop. And like, 40 stores in Europe.

We love these super tall beanies, I just want to crawl in and snuggle up with it. And I wish I were wearing one right now while delivering socks to Hurricane Sandy victims in the Rockaways. And/or give them away. And/or share. No I really want this one.

For this cared for, handmade, super soft goodness, it’s $154 from Kaight.

Because this hat doesn’t knit itself.

I impart my daily love of light layering, thick-as-thieves platforms and undiscovered fashionable gems. I love to turn a phrase, and in truth I'm a designer at werq.
