Next month sees the launch of the first ever London men’s fashion week-end. Three days of presentation and shows set to give British menswear an unprecedented position on the global stage (it’s about time!) A good excuse then, to celebrate the best in British tailoring by reviewing the 5 best tailored brands and what they have in store for us this season.

Paul Smith
Sir Paul Smith’s multi-stripe signature can be recognized from miles away, and he is one of the most respected designers of his generation. He has repeatedly shown his perfect understanding of how a suit can help shape a man’s body to his liking. This S/S 2012 wool double-breasted suit is an excellent example of this. Its broad lapel makes a sartorial statement, whilst the fine pinstripe finish softens the shape, as structured suits are slowly but surely losing their appeal to a more socially aware audience.
