Victoria’s Secret Pulls Racy Native American Outfit from Broadcast
Karlie Kloss strut down the Victoria’s Secret runway in a Native American inspired look complete with headdress and sexy tasseled panties. Days after No Doubt pulled their Native American themed music video after racist claims, Victoria’s Secret is following suit and is not to giving screen time to Kloss’ look.
Remember the Native American headdress Karlie Kloss wore on the Victoria’s Secret Runway? Upon further reflection, Victoria’s Secret has decided not t0 give the look any screen time due to racist accusations after images from the show were released.
This controversy comes days after No Doubt pulled their new music video that was also Native American “inspired”. Sunday Victoria’s Secret responded with this statement, “We are sorry that the Native American headdress replica used in our recent fashion show has upset individuals. We sincerely apologize as we absolutely had no intention to offend anyone. Out of respect, we will not be including the outfit in any broadcast, marketing materials nor in any other way.”
Karlie Kloss added via Twitter, “I am deeply sorry if what I wore during the VS Show offended anyone. I support VS’s decision to remove the outfit from the broadcast.”
