Beginning in spring, Nordstrom will host pop-up shops in six locations featuring CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund finalists. Expanding their exposure to a wider audience, these pop-up shops will remain open through May.
The 2012 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund finalists
The winner of the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund award will receive $300,000 with two runner ups receiving $100,000. This year, the foundation is partnering with underwriter Nordstrom to create pop-up shops within their department store.
Beginning in February, the shop will feature the garments, accessories, and shoes from the 10 finalists. This year’s finalists include Andrea Lieberma (A.I.C.), Greg Armas (Assembly New York), Sofia Sizzi (Giuletta), Justin Salguero, Daniel Silberman and Alina Silberman (Illesteva), Jennifer Fischer (Jennifer Fischer Jewelry), Jennifer Meyer Maguire (Jennifer Meyer), Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty (Suno), Greg Chait (The Elder Statesman), Tabitha Simmons, and Wes Gordon.
The popup shops will open in six different locations; these include Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and Nordstrom-owned Treasure & Bond in New York City.
CEO of the CFDA Steven Kolb revealed that, “It is a great opportunity for our 10 designers to have a presence in-store with a major retailer, and this will give their collections great exposure to a broader audience.”
