In a letter to WWD, YSL’s CEO blasts the publication and adds further confusion to the brands recent name change game.

YSL, Saint Laurent, Yves Saint Laurent, Saint Laurent Paris?!? Which one is it?

What Shall We Call You Now, Mr.Laurent?

In a letter to WWD, blasting the publications for biased views on the debut collection by Hedi Slimane, Paul Deneve, President and CEO of the house that Yves built, refers to the label by four different names, leaving us a little confused as to what to call the brand.

In the “Letter to the Editor”, he also calls to attention that the fashion newspaper sided with “admittedly partial” Cathy Horyn, who Deneve refers to as “a cheerleader” for Raf Simmons and made accusations that WWD was encouraging people to “relegate fashion to a sideshow rather the the main event.”

I think we all know what the “main event” is.

Raf vs Hedi

Ding, ding, ding, ROUND 3, FIGHT!!!
